Just Rifles To Work With Veterans4Wildlife

BlackMambas
Just Rifles is looking into the possibility of sending multiple ex-riflemen to South Africa as part of a conservation programme with Veterans 4 Wildlife.

Veterans 4 Wildlife is an international charity committed to the protection of wildlife and the world's most critically endangered species. Their mission is the empowerment of veterans to aid in the prevention of wildlife crime.

Whether it be rhino, lion, elephant or even giraffe, Africa's wildlife is under extreme threat. Poaching, low-level wildlife crime and habitat destruction are all applying unsustainable levels of pressure on to the natural heritage.

The formation of Veterans 4 Wildlife came around because of the similarity of qualities required shared between veterans and wildlife conservationists. It was immediately clear that the skill-set required of volunteers deploying to areas in need of wildlife conservation are markedly similar to these instilled during military training. The charity consistently supports Game Rangers and Anti-Poaching Units working tirelessly to reverse the on-going siege. These organisations and individuals face a daunting and dangerous challenge - often outnumbered, outgunned and lacking in material support.

By deploying highly-skilled and experienced former service personnel, Veterans for Wildlife aims to play a key role in conservation and the prevention of wildlife crime. Participating veterans are in turn provided a unique, empowering opportunity to transition into civilian life and continue to make a positive impact on society.

Veterans 4 Wildlife are actively recruiting veteran volunteers to participate in up-coming deployments to South Africa, to help support anti-poaching teams within Kruger National Park. Please register your interest by emailing olivia@justrifles.co.uk
