Friends of Just Rifles

Neil Silvester served with 1 Royal Green Jackets between 1998 and 2003, during which time he was promoted to L/Cpl aged just 19. As a team commander, Neil deployed to Northern Ireland and Sierra Leone on active duty. Since leaving the military, Neil has struggled with both physical and mental health issues, and following emergency back surgery in 2016 made the decision to follow his passion for Art by went back to college to study.

Having completed an HND in Art and Design, Neil now specialises in producing contemporary art in both traditional and digital media. Neil has been an active member of the Just Rifles community for some time, both receiving support for his personal and artistic development, and helping to raise much-needed funds to help others. Last year, an original piece by Neil raised £3k for Just Rifles.
