Stephen Vause winner of the Soldiering On Award for inspiration 2021
Stephen Vause has won the Soldiering On Award 2021. The award honours a person that has overcome significant challenges, injury or disability, and whose ongoing or past outstanding achievements are an inspiration to others within the Armed Forces Community.
Stephen is truly amazing. Focussed, since his injury on being able to walk again, he has turned the challenges of lockdown in a care home during the Covid pandemic into a positive. All his fundraising efforts have been to help and motivate other veterans who may be less fortunate. He has wanted to contact those with locked-in syndrome to tell them that despite everything life is worth living. We all, both family friends and those he meets find him inspirational.”
