Ed Addington

In 2009, Captain Ed Addington was commanding a platoon in Afghanistan when he was seriously injured in a bomb explosion.

He was admitted to Selly Oak Hospital and then Headley Court, where he pursued recovery with great determination of spirit.

Ed has not only taught himself to walk again: he has completed a Masters in International Relations, as well as working for various organisations as a coach, leader and motivator. He holds a consultancy position at Deloitte, where he assists ex-military personnel make the transition into civilian jobs. He is an in-demand motivational speaker at team-building, career and corporate events.

A born leader, Ed is an indispensable member of the Just Rifles team and we are enormously grateful for his contribution to the charity.
