The charity was established in 2011 by Bryan Fugler, a successful businessman and solicitor whose friend’s son, a member of the Rifles Regiment, was killed in Afghanistan.
The Rifles sustained the highest level of losses and injuries of any frontline regiment in Afghanistan. The Board is led by General Sir Nick Parker and the charity has a qualified committee including veterans of both the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts to help assess people’s needs.
What we do
Our overriding aim is to provide practical and immediate support to ex-service personnel who have serviced in the Rifles Regiment whether they have sustained injuries or need vocational training so they can get a worthwhile job. We are known for our ability to react fast to veterans’ needs. Through a new programme of activity, Veteran Mentors, we are opening up our services to all those that served in the Armed Forces that could benefit from this specific project.
